Things to do

The main event is driving the 22 mile long Montana Bale Trail and viewing the What the Hay contest, but there is so much more to experience on this jam-packed day. Great food and a small-town fair are a few of many things to experience at the Montana Bale Trail event. We have a lot to offer here in beautiful Central Montana, take a look below to get a better idea.

Hobson Fair

Held in conjunction with “What the Hay” and located in Hobson, is the Hobson Day Fair sponsored by Hobson Public Schools.  This affair provides a wonderful festival-like atmosphere. It features a wide variety of exhibits and booths which offer creative home-made crafts, gifts, arts and food favorites.

Be sure to grab a hamburger or hot dog at the Hobson School food tent. All proceeds support school sponsored activities for the students.

Hobson Museum & Library

Be sure to visit the newly created Hobson Museum and check out the Hobson Library's annual book sale!
